Assoc. Prof. Dr. M. Abdullah Al Mamun is the Dean at the South Asia School of Business & Director of IQAC, University of South Asia, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has more than 21 years of experience in the field of academic and corporate. Mr. Mamun worked for Daffodil International University, Dhaka, Bangladesh, Southeast University, Dhaka, Bangladesh, and Sylhet International University, Sylhet, Bangladesh. He has completed his PhD (HRM) from the School of Business and Economics (Triple Crown Accredited-AACSB, EQUIS & AMBA), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Malaysia. Mr. Mamun earned an MBA degree majoring in HRM & Marketing from Bangalore University, India, under the Indian Government (ICCR) Scholarship and a BBA degree majoring in Management from Southern Adventist University, Tennessee, USA. He also completed a PGD in Retail Management from ICFAI University, India. Mr. Mamun received the “Outstanding International Student Award” from Garden City Group of Institutions, Bangalore, India.
Mr. Mamun is competent in Research Methodology and Statistical Software like SPSS and PLS-SEM. He has been invited as the “Resource Person” to conduct the Workshop on “Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using SamrtPLS 4.00” at School of Business and Economics (AACSB & EQUIS Accredited), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Malaysia; American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB); Harmony Global Resource, Malaysia; Thriving Skills, Dhaka; Be Researcher BD (BRBD); University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB); Sonargaon University, Dhaka; Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), Dhaka; Franklin International Business School (FIBS), Nigeria; Prime University, Dhaka; NBICT Lab, Dinajpur; SPINE-Future Skills Bangladesh, Dhaka; Sharda University Agra, India and North South University, Dhaka. As an expert and resource person, Mr. Mamun attends career/HR-related TV talk shows and Radio programs and has conducted 80+ webinars/workshops/seminars locally and internationally. Mr. Mamun is the Associate Editor of the International Journal of Bangladesh Society for Human Resource Management and a reviewer of various peer-reviewed journals. He has published 29 research articles in reputed peer-reviewed journals, including Scopus (Q1), WoS, ABDC, and ABS Indexed. His main areas of research interest are Green HRM, Strategic HRM, Training & Development, Talent Management, High-Performance Work Systems, and Sustainability.
Mr. Mamun is the Consultant at HR Outsources & My Jobs, Dhaka. He is the Advisor, FocusOn Global Limited, Dhaka. He is a Life Fellow & Ex-Joint Secretary of Bangladesh Society for Human Resources Management (BSHRM), a Member of Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), USA, and one of the Founders of HR Club Bangladesh Ltd. He is the Chief Adviser of Federation of Hospitality Tourism & Event Management and Business Genius Bangladesh and Adviser of TAAN_RAAT Institute of Bangladesh. He is the Ex-President of Graduate Student Club, School of Business and Economics, Universiti Putra Malaysia. He is the former Conference & Skill Enhancement Secretary of Bangladeshi Students’ Union Malaysia (BSUM), Malaysia, former Vice-Chairman of World Organization of Students & Youth (WOSY), India, and former Joint General Secretary of Federation International Students Association-Bangalore (FISA-B), India. Mr. Mamun was a debater in his student life and presently he is the Adviser to the Chairman and Ex-Moderator of National Debate Federation Bangladesh (NDF BD), former moderator of Southeast University Debate Club, and founding moderator of Sylhet International University Debating Club. Mr. Mamun is a syndicate and academic council member of University of South Asia, Dhaka, and an ex-syndicate Member of Sylhet International University. He is a Life Member of American Alumni Association (AAA). He was the Conference Secretary of the 6th BSHRM-MetLife International HR Conference 2017.
